The Nebraska Humane Society is once again offering free cat adoptions.

NHS is running out of space for cats, so for one day only on Friday, all cats six months and older will be free. They hope to find homes for 40 cats in one day. The first 40 adopters will receive a free collar and ID tag for their cat and free cat toys.

Cat adoptions will start at 10 a.m.. All cats have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Adopters who live in the Omaha Metro will still have to pay the licensing fee associated with their city.
