Fremont Police Department’s investigation has revealed that a man involved in a fatal vehicle crash last week was not wearing a seatbelt.
Last Sunday, FPD responded to a single vehicle crash in the 900 block of North Clarkson Street.
Officials say a 2004 Dodge pickup, being driven by 53-year-old Ricky L. Stolley was southbound on Clarkson Street, ran up and over the curb, striking mailboxes, small trees and eventually striking a large tree before coming to rest.
Stolley was transported to Fremont Health Hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Omaha where he later died on March 15. Authorities say Stolley was not wearing a seatbelt at time of the crash.
Alcohol and speed are not being considered as factors to the crash at this time however the investigation is continuing.
