OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Fremont Police Department says an early morning shooting suspect was taken into custody on Friday afternoon.

They say 19-year-old Gage Havens was arrested for charges relating to a shooting that took place at approximately 2:43 a.m. in a business parking lot near the 500 block of West 23rd Street.

Police say Havens and another man got into an argument that ended with Gage firing a pistol. The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Havens is charged with second-degree attempted murder, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, two counts of criminal mischief and discharge of a firearm.

Police say the pistol used in the crime has been seized as evidence and investigation is ongoing.
