LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — Nebraska football coach Scott Frost is making headlines for action off the field and this time, he's sharing the spotlight with his wife.

Scott and Ashley Frost announced they are donating $100,000 to the TeamMates Mentoring Program.

Frost's former coach Tom Osborne and his wife Nancy started TeamMates to help children build a positive relationship with adult volunteers.

“We have a fatherlessness problem in the United States of America. We see it all the time in coaching that kids that come from good homes with good mothers and good fathers just seem to get along better more often than kids that don't have that advantage. And the work that TeamMates does hopefully we can keep going for a long time,” said Scott Frost.

The Frosts are hoping that others will match their donation.
