Fugitive apprehended by US Marshals after driving state snow plow into Platte River

The US Marshals tell 3 News Now that 57-year-old Scott Robertson was wanted on a federal indictment related to possession of child pornography.

Robertson had been under surveillance.

Tuesday, a member of the Fugitive Task Force followed Robertson, witnessing the state-owned snow plow he was driving go off the road and into the river.

A State of Nebraska snow plow ended up in the Platte River on Tuesday morning after US Marshals apprehended a federal fugitive near Schramm Park.

After conducting brief surveillance on the snow plow, which was believed to be driven by the fugitive, a member of the fugitive task force saw the plow leaving the road, entering the river.

Law enforcement arrived and the driver was removed from the plow, according to the US Marshals Service.

The fugitive was transported to a local hospital then confined at a local jail, where they await court on a sealed federal indictment.
