OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — In the season of giving it is important to remember that kids of all ages would love to see a present under their trees.
Sunday, a group of volunteers with Fund Hope, a group under the PromiseShip umbrella, wrapped more than 250 gifts for a group often forgotten over the holidays: teenagers and older kids in the foster care system.
"We wanted to pick up the group that is not necessarily so fun or easy to shop for," Jenni Herchenbach with the organization said. "Everybody likes to buy baby clothes baby toys we wanted to focus on older teens."
In total, Fund Hope has wrapped more than 500 gifts this year.
