Friends, neighbors, and strangers join forces in La Vista to help a Sarpy County family's effort to pick up the pieces after a tragic crash.
They gathered at Central Park for the Penick Kid's fundraiser which was organized by the Harrison Street Baptist Church.
Last June's crash killed Jennifer and Adam Penick, leaving their five children without parents.
Their grandparents. Emmett and Sheila Wayne, moved here from South Korea to take care of them and are in the process of buying a home.
They talked about the community support for their family.
