Family and friends will say goodbye to two brothers who were killed in a hostage and standoff situation on Friday.
Jason Edwards, 41, and John Edwards, 35, were shot and killed by Kenneth Clark as they tried to help their sister move out of the man's home, according to officials.
Jason Edwards is survived by his wife and two daughters. John Edwards leaves behind a wife and three sons.
A visitation is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, followed by a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. They will be buried Wednesday morning.
Donations for a fund for their children can be made at any Bank of the West or First Nebraska Educators Credit Union.
Two online fundraisers, one for each brother, have been collecting money to help pay for the funeral costs:
Combined, they have raised more than $52,000 since they were created on Saturday.
Coworkers of the wife of one of the brothers plan to hold a benefit on Sunday, Feb. 21. It is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Beauty First (140th and W. Center Road). Admission is $10 for a night of salon services, a raffle, silent auction and bake sale. Click here for more details.
