LYONS, Neb. (KMTV) - Northern Natural Gas released an update on Saturday following a gas pipeline explosion just south of Lyons on Thursday afternoon.
The company says the gas pipeline has been repaired and all service to customers has been restored.
The incident appears to have been caused by a third-party working in the area but the exact confirmation of the cause could take several weeks, company officials said. A series of scores and gouges were found across the impacted pipeline segment.
Officials said the incident is a reminder to everyone to call the state's One Call system at 811 prior to doing any excavation work.
No injuries were reported during Thursday's incident.
