OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Generation Hope will partner with members of the Department of Health and Human Services, Men Against Domestic Violence Action Committee, and YOUTurn to hold its eighth annual domestic violence awareness march to start domestic violence awareness month. Several survivors and other advocates will join in the march.

They will walk from the Douglas County Jail to the Douglas County District Court House, starting at 6:30. The march aims to bring awareness to the devastating impact that domestic violence has on children and their caregivers. Those who have lost their lives to domestic violence will also be honored.

The event is open to the public and anybody is encouraged to attend. The march ends at 7:30.
