OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Veterans are everywhere in a place like Washington, D.C. And if they're anywhere near Rhonda Robinson, she'll find them, and learn as much about them as she can.
Talking to veterans brings her closer to the man she fell in love with more than ten years ago.
"Some people might have known my husband," said Robinson.
She says other gold star wives give her strength and remind her she is not alone.
Each monument means something different to the veterans and gold star families on the Purple Heart Flight, but they're all together for the same reason. They are on this flight to acknowledge that each life lost is irreplaceable and what they did for our country, will never be forgotten.
