The office of Governor Pete Ricketts will be accepting applicants to fill a legislative seat in District 6.
The seat was previously held by Joni Craighead, who announced her resignation Friday. The District covers parts of western and central Omaha.
Applicants have until Sept. 29 to apply and must be over 21, be registered to vote and demonstrate they've lived in the District for more than a year.
