Governor Pete Ricketts named John A. Bolduc the new Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol at a press conference Thursday afternoon.
Bolduc comes to Nebraska after serving for more than seven years as the Chief of the San Diego Harbor Police Department. In San Diego, he oversaw a staff of 170.
Prior to working in San Diego, Bolduc worked for nine years as the Chief of the Brainerd Police Department in Minnesota.
At the end of June, Colonel Brad Rice was removedas the head of the State Patrol following an a review of the agency.
Bolduc will start on Oct. 16.
