Guilty plea in deadly DUI crash

A western Iowa man accused of killing a pedestrian while driving drunk on July 4th has pleaded guilty.
 
26 year old Austin Arndt of Logan entered the plea Monday to a charge of vehicular homicide while intoxicated.  
Arndt admitted to hitting 50 year old Charlotte Anderson along Iowa Highway 127 on the north side of Logan around 11:15 p.m. On July 4th of last year. Family and friends told police they believe Anderson had been walking from her home to watch a band perform in downtown Logan. Arndt admitted to officers that he had drank 15 to 17 beers less than six hours before the crash. 
 
Arndt faces up to 25 years in prison when he's sentenced April 18th.
