Head-on collision sends six people to hospital

A head-on collision sent several people to the hospital Monday night.

Omaha Police say a Nebraska Humane Society van and a Buick Lesabre collided at the intersection of 72nd and Redick. It happened just after 9 p.m.

Officers on the scene say there were several people in the two vehicles.

Six people were taken to the hospital. 

According to OPD, five passengers are expected to be ok but a 10-month-old girl went to the hospital in critical condition. 

 Authorities say It happened when the driver of the Lesabre turned into a shopping center.

Officers are canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance video.
