Republican John Arch, a health care professional from La Vista, formally announced his run for Nebraska Legislature in District 14 Thursday morning.
District 14 is in Sarpy County and is primarily made up of Papillion and La Vista.
Arch has spent the past 23 years working in Boys Town's health care division. He currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Health Care and Director of the National Research Hospital and Clinics.
Arch has been endorsed by Jim Smith, who currently holds the seat. Smith is stepping down in the next election cycle because of term limits. Arch said in a release
“I look forward to getting to know the voters of District 14,” Arch said in a release. “I believe my experience, and record of service would be an asset in the Legislature.”
Arch's priorities will be tax relief for families and businesses and reducing red tape and regulations.
