OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - The local Home Instead office is launching its annual "Be a Santa to a Senior Campaign" to give gifts to 600 area seniors who may not receive anything for the holidays.
The community is encouraged to help out by buying gifts and returning them to the trees inside Hyvee stores.
"Seniors leave a tremendous legacy, and we want to make sure that legacy is felt and we also want to make sure they feel significant, that just because they are a little bit older and not getting around as much, there is plenty to learn and we need to honor and celebrate their contribution over the span of their lifetime," Tim Shanahan, the General Manager for Home Instead Omaha, said.
Home Instead will be making deliveries Sunday. For more information on donating, visit this link.
