OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — For the fourth year in a row, Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is giving the community the gift of free admission to children under the age of 12 beginning Saturday, December 26, through Thursday, December 31, 2020.
The free admission for children under the age of 12 is the final gift in the Zoo's 12 Days of Giving event. For the past 12 days, prizes were randomly awarded to visitors in person and on social media, ranging from gift cards to 125th anniversary mugs to prize packages.
Up to six children can be admitted free to the Zoo with each paid adult.
"The joy the 12 Days of Giving brought was contagious," said Dennis Pate, president and CEO of Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. "The Zoo is now even more excited to offer this final gift to all the children in our community. We hope people will use this opportunity to enjoy our Zoo, create memories, and know that we sincerely appreciate their support through 2020."
Though it may be cold outside, the Zoo has seven acres of indoor exhibits to enjoy during the winter months including the Lied Jungle, Desert Dome and the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium.
