The Holiday Lights downtown will be lit this Thanksgiving, but will not return until 2022 after that.
Because the lagoon will be drained next year to raise the area to street level, the Holiday Lights would not be feasible.
According to the Omaha World-Herald, there is a discussion of moving the Holiday Lights Festival to Midtown Crossing.
This will be the 19th year of the tree lighting.
