OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — More than a hundred people lined the hallways at CUMC Bergan Mercy overnight for an honor walk for 39-year-old Brian Saathoff. Saathoff died unexpectedly Monday and was an organ donor.
At 2:30 this morning, firefighters, family members, friends, doctors, and nurses all came together honoring his wishes to help others, lining the hallways as his body was taken to the operation room for organ retrieval.
The event was a last farewell, before his gift of life will give others a new chance at life.
