ASHLAND, Neb. (KMTV) — On Saturday you can get an inside look at a plane from WWII and learn about a Nebraska hero. The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum in Ashland will be sharing the story of Nebraskan, Captain Lee Seeman.
A curator will share the captain's story about a harrowing adventure he took through the North Sea during the war. After that, the museum will have a WWII reenactment and let visitors take a look inside of a B-17.
"It's also an opportunity to connect with history and to learn about the strategic air command and the folks that served. so it's American aviation history at its best," said Deb Hermann with Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum.
The special event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
