OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The date and time for Nebraska's Husker Fan Day have been set...and there will be limited access to Head Football Coach Scott Frost due to "intense demand."
According to Nebraska University Athletic Communications, the event will take place on Thursday, August 1 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
They say there will be some changes this year:
"In order to manage the intense demand for Head Coach Scott Frost’s autograph line, only Nebraska JV Team members will be allowed in the Frost autograph line. The Nebraska JV team is the official kids’ club of the Huskers and is open to all kids in the eighth grade and below."
The number of spots available will be limited "to a pre-determined number of Nebraska JV Team members on a first-come, first-served basis." Those interested will need to check in an hour early at 4:30 p.m. at the Hawks Championship entrance. They may be accompanied by an adult and will be able to have one item signed by Frost and will also be able to take a picture with Frost.
Children who are interested in signing up for the JV Team may do so at Huskers.com/JVTeam.
They say all Nebraska players and coaches will be on-hand as usual and that more information will be forthcoming.
