PAPILLION, Neb. (KMTV) — Less than a month from the start of the college football season, and the floor seems to be dropping out.

Reports are circulating that the Big 10 Conference will cancel the football season in the fall, though nothing is final.

Fans have mixed reactions on whether they want to see players on the field, and if they think it will actually happen.

It was on everyone’s mind at Jerzes Sports Bar in Papillion.

Husker fan Dave Huddle says it should be up to the players and coaches to make the final decision.

“I’d love to see college football because I’d rather be watching it than the NFL but there’s a lot at stake, a lot at stake with people’s lives, young kids’ lives,” Huddle explained.

Husker Head Coach Scott frost says if we cancel football tomorrow we’re throwing up a white flag saying this can’t be done.

The Big 10 released a revised schedule last week.
