SCRIBNER, Neb. (KMTV) — The metro woke up to ice today. Cars and trees were covered as rain fell but it was relatively mild compared to what people in Scribner saw when they woke up.
Along with losing power, trees were down in the area as high winds whipped across the town.
One woman told us she heard the impact of one of the limbs falling near her home.
“The tree crashed on my neighbors around 2:00 and we lost around 3:00,” said resident Stephanie Schneider. “It has sounded like a lumberjack yard ever since."
People in Scribner will be busy cleaning up the tree damage for a little while.
