OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A crash Wednesday afternoon involving an unrestrained, intoxicated woman sent three to the hospital, including a 9-year-old with life-threatening injuries.

At 4:33 p.m., officers were called to a personal injury crash near 45th and Maple.

According to Omaha Police, a 2000 Chrysler Concorde was traveling eastbound on Maple, approaching the 45th St intersection. The Chrysler went around a stopped SUV and turned southbound on 45th St.

Omaha Police say the Chrysler then struck a parked Oldsmobile Intrigue, then veered to the left, crossing the northbound lane.

The vehicle then went over a curb, back into the northbound lane, where it struck a 2016 Nissan Sentra head-on. The Nissan Sentra then struck a parked Nissan Rouge.

Juliana Townsell, 18, was identified as the driver of the Chrysler. She was intoxicated and unrestrained and taken into custody by Omaha Police.

The driver of the Nissan Sentra is being treated at Nebraska Medicine for a serious head injury.

A 9-year-old occupant of the Nissan Sentra who suffered life-threatening injuries to the head and abdominal injuries is also being treated at Nebraska Medicine. Four additional juveniles in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.

One occupant of the Chrysler was taken to Nebraska Medicine with serious injuries.

Charges are pending against Townsell.
