Seven coworkers from Kearney are the lucky winners of a million-dollar lottery prize, Nebraska Lottery officials announced Monday.
The workers at Baldwin Filters will each get $142,857 after one of their tickets match five of the winning white ball numbers for the Nov. 24 Mega Millions drawing.
The group, which consists of Randall Faltys of Kearney; Bradley Schroeder of Miller; Todd Meier of Kearney; Zachery Harris of Kearney; Kenny Eckel of Gibbon; Boyd Vinzant of Minden; and William Dixon of Hildreth, traveled to the Nebraska Lottery headquarters in Lincoln Monday to claim their prize.
They said they plan to use their shares of the money to pay bills.
They bought their ticket from Thirsty’s in Kearney, according to lottery officials, which will also get a $10,000 bonus.
