LA VISTA, Neb. (KMTV) — In an effort to keep residents informed, the City of La Vista says it will be implementing Facebook's local alerts system.
A city representative says the notification system was put through a dry run recently, during heavy snow and rain, to inform people about a road closure on 84th Street. In addition to notifications which are meant to keep people safe and on time, people will also be notified about "community recreational activities."
