Deputies uncovered more than 1,500 pounds of marijuana in a traffic stop last week, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy stopped an RV for a traffic violation on Van Dorn Street, near Park Boulevard just before midnight on Friday in Lincoln.

“During the traffic stop a search of the vehicle was conducted and approximately 1,517 pounds of marijuana was located in the RV,” officials said in a statement Tuesday.

Investigators say the driver, 28-year-old Isabel Mallar, and the passenger, 28-year-old Nabari Rohman, were arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of money in violation of state statute 28-416.

A third person, 51-year-old Abbas Hajinabarzi, was also arrested. Deputies say they were able to determine he was traveling with the RV in a separate vehicle.

He faces charges of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.
