Council Bluffs Police say a teenager accused of making threatening comments at Lewis Central High School Monday has been reported missing by his family.

Police say 16-year-old Giovanni Raymundo of Council Bluffs left the school after allegedly making the threats, but before police or his family arrived. Police say they went to Raymundo's home and did not find any evidence that he had the means to carry out his threats.

Raymundo faces a felony terroristic threats charged in Juvenile Court, which will set the date of his initial hearing. If Raymundo does not show up, a Juvenile Pickup Order may be issued, which is similar to an arrest warrant for an adult.

Council Bluffs Police say they normally do not release the names of juvenile offenders, but this case falls under the Safety Exception of state law which allows the information to be released if the juvenile's location is unknown and if releasing the information will protect the general public.

Raymundo is a white male; 5 feet, 6 inches tall; 206 pounds; with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on where Raymundo might be should call 9-1-1.
