Lincoln PD collects 76 guns; 70,000 rounds of ammo

LINCOLN, Neb (KMTV) - In Lincoln - police combined the prescription pill take-back effort with their first Gun Amnesty Day of the year.

That day is usually held in the Fall but police say the City Council's ban on bump stocks prompted them to add an additional day.

Lincoln police call it a record setting Gun Amnesty Day; collecting 76 guns and more than 70,000 rounds of ammunition.
