Authorities locate missing woman with dementia

LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — Update: Lincoln Police say Lois Barnard was found safe at a care facility in Grinnell, IA.

An Endangered Missing Advisory has been issued to determine the whereabouts of Lois Barnard.

The Lincoln Police Department is attempting to locate Lois Barnard, a 77-year-old white female. Barnard is 5'7", 160 lbs with blue eyes and gray hair.

She could be driving a Bronze 2000 Buick, with Iowa license plate IBK 722. Barnard is reported to have severe dementia and drove to a family members residence in Lincoln, NE.

Barnard departed before the family arrived home and may be driving back to her home in Grinnell, Iowa. If you have information about the whereabouts of Lois Barnard, please call 911 or the Lincoln Police Department at 402-441-6000.
