LIST: Fourth of July celebrations in Omaha Metro

The Fourth of July holiday weekend has arrived. 

Many people in Omaha metro are ready to celebrate our independence and enjoy some great fireworks this weekend.

KMTV has complied a list of events happening in the metro area this holiday weekend. 

FRIDAY, JULY 1st:

Bank of The West Celebrates America Concert 

Start time: 6:00 p.m.

Location: Memorial Park, 6005 Underwood Ave.

Info: The annual concert starts at 6;00 p.m. with a performance from Kenny Loggins and the fireworks show will start shortly after the concert at 10:00 p.m. 

 

Omaha Storm Chasers v.s. Memphis Redbirds

Start time: 7:05 p.m.

Location: Werner Park,12356 Ballpark Way, Papillion

Price: Tickets start at $9

Info: The Omaha Storm Chasers are home this holiday weekend to play a four-game series against Memphis Redbirds. Game starts at 7:05 and the fireworks show will start after the game concludes. Hy-vee will sponsor Friday's fireworks show. 

 

SATURDAY, JULY 2nd: 

Armbrust Acres Independence Day Celebration 

Time: 11:00 a.m.-Parade

7:00 p.m.- DJ and music 

 9:00 p.m.- Fireworks show

Location:  165th and Bancroft 

Info: This Southwest Omaha neighborhood will hold their event this Saturday with a parade starting at 11:00 am.. Food trucks will be there from 5;00-8;00 p,.m. with the fireworks show ending the event at 9:00 p.m. 

 

Playing with Fire at Midtown Crossing 

Location: Midtown Crossing at Turner Park, 3102 Dodge St., Omaha

Start time: 3;30 p.m. 

Info: This free summer concert will have performances by Sugaray Rayford,  Andria Simone and Those Guys.

 

Lake Manawa Fireworks show

Time: At dusk 

Location: Lake Manawa State Park, 1100 S. Shore Drive, Council Bluffs

 

Info: The Friends of Lake Manawa is hosting this annual event which will showcase fireworks and music in Council Bluffs.

SUNDAY, JULY 3RD:

TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Fireworks show starts after game's conclusion.

Price: Kids 3-12 $8

Adults: $12

Location: TD Amertrade Park, 12000 Mike Fahey St, Omaha

Info: College baseball's top hitters are set to complete to see who is the best slugger. A fireworks show will start after the contest ends. For more information on the event, click here.

Ralston’s Independence Day Celebration

Location: Downtown Ralston 

Start Time: 4:00-10:00 p.m. 

Info: The city will host its 56th annual independence day event which will include great activities including a pie-eating contest, family street dance and square dance. 

 

MONDAY, JULY 4TH:

Ralston’s Independence Day Celebration

Time: 10:00 am- dusk 

Location: Downtown Ralston 

80th and Highland, to 73rd and Main Streets. (Parade route)

Info: The city will host its 56th annual independence day event which will include great activities including a kiddie parade, their annual parade at 1;00 p.m. ending with their fireworks show at dusk.

 

Blair's 4th of July Fireworks Celebration

Time: 8:00-10:00pm

Location:  Former Dana College Campus,2848 College Dr, Blair.

 

Nebraska Wind Symphony and the Swingtones:

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Location: Chalco Hills Recreation Area, 154th Street and Giles Road.

Info: Part of the symphony's free summer concert series. Guests are recommended to bring blankets or chairs.
