Aksarben Cinema will allow fans a chance to celebrate the life of Prince by showing the iconic movie “Purple Rain” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, located at 2110 S. 67th St.
Organizers created a specialty cocktail named after the movie and invited local area DJ Shif-Dee to play Prince hits starting at 5:30 p.m.
The theatre has sold out its largest auditorium, but it has added a second one, says Andrea Barstow-Olson, marketing director for Aksarben Cinema.
Tickets are still available, but are going fast, she says.

The showing will also donate a portion of its proceeds to the Nebraska Aids Project.
