LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — The Lincoln Police Department says it received a report from a Lyft driver who says he was threatened with a gun after refusing to drive a couple to a second adult store this morning.

Just after 5 a.m., police say a male Lyft driver picked up and transported a couple to a Romantix store located at 3247 South 10th Street. When they arrived, the store was closed and they asked the driver to take them to another location but wanted to pay cash instead of using the app.

The driver told them he would not be able to accommodate their request and they would need to order another Lyft. The male exited the vehicle but the female refused.

At this point, the driver says the female drew a gun, cocked it and pointed it at him.

Police say the terrified driver fled the vehicle and ran away, waiting for the couple to leave.

The Lincoln Police Department says it is working to identify all passengers involved.
