COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KMTV) — A man attempted to steal an SUV at gun point early Sunday morning in Council Bluffs.
Council Bluffs Police say the incident happened around 8:00 a.m at the 3000 block of Avenue E when the owner of the vehicle turned on his Chevy Suburban with a remote start.
The man went out to his Suburban to find a suspect inside it. He tried to confront the suspect who pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the owner. The owner fled unharmed.
Police say the suspect left the area and officers were unable to locate him.
