OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Update:
Omaha Police say the pedestrian killed in a hit and run Sunday has been identified as 26-year-old Justin Johnson.
The crash is still under investigation.
Original story:
A man died after being hit by a vehicle Sunday morning near 96th and L St, according to Omaha Police.
Officers were called to the area around 6 a.m. for a personal injury hit and run crash.
A passerby found the man on the westbound shoulder of L St.
Medics pronounced the victim dead.
Roadway evidence and vehicle parts left at the scene revealed that the victim had been hit by a westbound vehicle that fled.
The crash is under investigation.
