The fog didn’t keep thousands of runners participating in the second annual Nebraska marathon in Omaha.

Runners had options from a 5k, half marathon, or full marathon.

One runner, Bobby Brennan, is in town performing with the musical ‘Cabaret’ at the Orpheum.

His friends were there to cheer him on as he crossed the finish line.

Brennan weighed over 500 lbs a few years ago but has lost more than 270 lbs.

"I decided to start this journey, and I decided I want to be the healthiest I’ve ever been at 40. So when I turned 40, I ran my first 5k and then for my 40th year, I did 40 5ks throughout the year.  Then at 41, I did a bunch of 10ks, and then, I just turned 42 a few days ago, and I did my first half-marathon,” said Brennan.

He credits running and a plant-based, juicing diet with his dramatic weight loss. He even starred in a documentary called Fat Guy Drinks Juice.
