A suspected drunk driver was hurt after being thrown from his SUV after crashing on I-480 westbound to Hwy 75 northbound last night.

Omaha Police says the incident happened around 10:13 p.m. when the driver, Mederith F Scott,  lost control on the on-ramp from westbound I-480 to northbound Hwy 75.

The Ford Explorer rolled several times, striking the bridge support.

Police say the Scott wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to CHI Creighton with a broken leg by Omaha Fire Medics.

Law enforcement says speed and alcohol are factors in the crash and several charges are pending.
