FREMONT, Neb. (KMTV) — A judge sentenced German Lopez-Saenz to five years in prison Tuesday on five counts of motor vehicle homicide.

All are misdemeanor charges.

Maria Cristina Menjivar, who was pregnant, and her three sons were killed when Lopez-Saenz's pickup rear-ended a car stopped on Hwy 30 in Fremont in February.

The crash forced that car into the westbound lane where it collided with the Menjivar family's vehicle.
