Man slips and falls into street; hit by three drivers who don't stop

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A man was killed after slipping on a sidewalk at 36th and Leavenworth, falling into the street where he was then run over by three separate drivers who failed to stop and render aid.

Omaha Police were called to 36th and Leavenworth Friday night. A witness told investigators the man, 64-year-old Julian Branker, was using a cane and slipped and fell into the roadway. The witness said three separate vehicles hit the man, but did not stop.

Police say one of the vehicles who fled the scene was a dark red colored SUV.

The victim died later at the hospital.
