A Council Bluffs man escaped injury in an accident in a parking lot Friday afternoon.
Police say 61 year old Michael Forbes was trying to park his SUV in the parking lot of The Great Wall restaurant on East Broadway, when he hit the gas instead of the brake. The SUV jumped the curb and hit two vehicles. The passenger side tires of the SUV hit the front of one car, forcing it to overturn and land up against the second car.
All of the vehicles were damaged, but driveable. Firefighters had to help Forbes get out of his vehicle. No tickets were issued because the accident happened on private property.
