OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Every year, college sports fans eagerly wait on signing day to find out who will be their teams future stars. Now, signing day is being given a bit of a different twist.
Metro Community College teamed up with area businesses to give high school students scholarships.
Some students say it may be the only way they can afford to learn the skills they need.
"They're going to pay for my schooling and I think that is really good because that gets me out of debt, also I get really good opportunities and I put myself out there." Angely Rivera said.
Similar to traditional signing days, these students also got to sign their own letters of intent.
