Meth suspect leads police on two state chase
Posted
Fremont County deputies say a meth suspect led them on a chase through two states Tuesday morning.

Around 5 a.m. Tuesday, the Fremont County K9 unit was conducting a methamphetamine investigation in Percival, Iowa and came across Michael Frakes of Nebraska City, Nebraska who was already under investigation for meth distribution.  Deputies say Frakes fled and led them on a high speed chase through Percival and during the chase lost control of his vehicle and went into a ditch. When the K9 deputy tried to arrest Frakes, he rammed the K9 deputy's vehicle and drove off toward Nebraska City. Deputies followed Frakes into Nebraska City where police were waiting to help. Officers chased Frakes through Nebraska City until he ditched the car and ran away near 5th Avenue and 7th Street. Police saw Frakes run into a nearby home where they arrested him.

Frakes is being held on multiple charges.
