COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KMTV) - While COVID canceled an annual tradition for the Midlands Humane Society, they created a new event to celebrate Valentine’s Day and raise some money.
Puppy Snuggles and Kitten Cuddles is taking place all weekend at the Midlands Humane Society in Council Bluffs.
People reserved 15 or 30 minute time slot to hang out with several little kitties or puppies. The organization uses the event as a fundraiser to help pay bills and has so far raised over $5,000.
All of the 50 slots have been reserved through Sunday but you can still donate to the fundraiser online.
It replaced their annual Wag-A-Grams event, which could not take place this year due to the pandemic
