A winning million dollar ticket from Saturday's Powerball drawing needs to be claimed in the Metro area.

The Cubby’s in Bennington Nebraska sold the ticket.

“It has most certainly been the talk of the store, no one really knows yet,” said Assistant Store Manager Jordan Tiller.

He said he hopes the ticket belongs to someone local.

“I am really eager and we are just waiting to hear. It is really great, because this is kind of a smaller community, everybody knows everybody by first name, so it is great to see something good come out of here,” he said.

The store will also see some of the reward. Nebraska Lottery will award them a $10,000 check for selling the winning ticket.

The last time a million dollar ticket was sold was in January at Fat Dog in Lincoln.

Tiller said he expects business to pick up a bit, now they have sold a winning ticket.

“I think we are going to sell a little bit more Powerball knowing that small towns like this have a chance.”
