UPDATE: Asmall Iowa town remembers a pregnant mom killed in an ATV accident
A woman who was pregnant with twins is dead and her 3-year-old child was taken to the hospital with injuries after a 4-wheeler accident in Harrison County on Monday.
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Monday on Morgan Avenue, north of Highway 127.
The Iowa State Patrol reports 27-year-old Jordan Muxfeldt, of Logan, Iowa, died after the all-terrain vehicle she was driving rolled, throwing her and her 3-year-old son onto the road.
Muxfeldt, who was pregnant with twins, was taken by helicopter to Nebraska Medicine where she later died. The twins were also lost, according to hospital officials.
The 3-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital, and then also airlifted to Nebraska Medicine. He was listed in good condition Tuesday.
