Motorcyclist dies after losing contol of bike

On Tuesday, May 9, at 3:48 pm.  Robert N. Swanson was traveling westbound on Highway 370, near 174th Street, on his three-wheeled 2013 Harley Davidson Tri-Glide Ultra when he lost control of the motorcycle. Swanson traveled across the concrete median crossing both lanes of eastbound Hwy 370, and entered the south ditch where he was ejected from the motorcycle. The South Metro Crash Response Team was called out to investigate the accident. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. According to witnesses, a back wheel may have fallen off the motorcycle prior to the accident. Swanson was transported by medical helicopter to UNMC in critical condition.  He died from his injuries at 9:45 pm.
