OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A 26-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash early Saturday.
Around 2:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of S 38th St and Vinton St.
Investigation showed a 2011 Harley Davidson was traveling eastbound on Vinton St when the driver failed to take a slight left curve in the road and left the roadway.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Joseph Rocha, was thrown from the motorcycle when it struck a staircase and a wooden post, according to Omaha Police.
Rocha was pronounced dead at the scene by medics and he was wearing a non-DOT approved helmet.
Alcohol is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.
