After two weeks without a truck, Moving Veterans Forward is able to buy a new one. The non-profit that helps homeless vets will be able to move vets into new homes starting Tuesday.
The organization was using a donated truck the last week from Cummins International. On Monday they went to buy a new truck from Aurelia, Iowa. The truck was used at the fire station and the city was able to give MVF a deal to purchase the truck.
The truck is $20,000 and the city is allowing MVF to buy it for $5,000 and pay the rest off. MVF will continue to except donations to help pay off the remaining balance.
