A multi-vehicle crash ;on Interstate 80 Westbound near 63rd Street and emergency response on the eastbound side stopped traffic around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

All westbound I-80 lanes were closed immediately following the crash, and emergency personnel responding to the crash had also halted I-80 Eastbound traffic, ;according to an alert issued by the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Westbound I-80 traffic was being diverted at 42nd Street while I-80 Eastbound traffic was being diverted at 65th Street.

At about 4 p.m., authorities opened up two lanes on I-80 WB to help with traffic congestion, but reports indicated that many I-80 on-ramps in the area of the crash were still shut down.

NDOT reported tow trucks on scene at about 4:35 p.m. but were still advising alternated routes to avoid delays.

At around 5:15 p.m., police were preparing to re-open the on-ramps, and NDOT reported on Twitter at 5:26 p.m. that the crash had been cleared.
